Wild Recalls Haula, Kampfer

The Minnesota Wild has recalled forward Erik Haula and defenseman Steven Kampfer from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Haula, 22, has recorded four points (2-2=4) and a plus-5 rating in 25 games with Minnesota this season. The 5-foot-11, 192-pound native of Pori, Finland, recorded an assist in his NHL debut on Nov. 29 vs. Colorado and tallied his first career NHL goal against Dallas on Jan. 18. He has collected 27 points (14-13=27) in 31 games with Iowa this season. He leads the team in goals and ranks second in power-play goals (five) and scoring. Haula was selected by the Wild in the seventh round (182nd overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft and wears jersey No. 56 with Minnesota.

Kampfer, 25, has collected 19 points (5-14=19) and 35 penalty minutes (PIM) in 49 games with Iowa this season. He has notched 15 points (7-8=15) in 61 career NHL contests with Boston and Minnesota. The 5-foot-11, 194-pound native of Ann Arbor, Mich., was originally selected by Anaheim in the fourth-round (No. 93 overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Both are in the State of Hockey and will join the Wild for practice today at Xcel Energy Center.
