Wild Reassigns Dowell

The Minnesota Wild has reassigned forward Jake Dowell to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Dowell played in one game with the Wild since his most recent recall on April 2, totaling one shot and 7:09 TOI in a shootout loss April 3 in Chicago. The 29-year-old has registered 17 points (6-11=17) and 56 penalty minutes (PIM) in 54 games with Iowa this season. On April 11, he was announced as this year’s recipient of the AHL’s Fred T. Hunt Memorial Award – honoring the AHL player who best exemplifies the qualities of sportsmanship, determination and dedication to hockey.
