Wild goaltender Niklas Backstrom missed today's practice and is considered day-to-day with a knee strain.
The netminder left yesterday's game in Nashville in the first period after Predators forward Eric Nystrom crashed into him, slamming Backstrom hard into the goal post.
No word on any whether or not the Wild is planning on calling up a goaltender from the club's American Hockey League affiliate in Iowa, but we should know more after today's practice.
Backstrom had started all three of the Wild's games this season.
Despite coming in cold and giving up a penalty shot to Nystrom, Josh Harding played well in relief, stopping 20 shots, but still was credited with the loss.
