While playing games on three straight nights, the Houston Aeros earned five of a possible six points last weekend. Houston hosted the Texas Stars in a 5-1 win Friday, as defenseman Brian Connelly led all players with three points (1-2=3) on the night. The Aeros traveled to Cedar Park Saturday, sweeping the home-and-home series with the Stars, 5-3. Center Mikael Granlund totaled four points (2-2=4) in the win, and Darcy Kuemper made 24 saves to earn the victory in his season debut. Houston hosted Milwaukee in their final contest of the weekend Sunday, earning a point in a 5-4 overtime loss. Winger Nick Palmieri scored with less than a minute remaining in regulation to force the extra session, before defender Mattias Ekholm beat goalie Matt Hackett in OT.

This week, the Aeros travel to Oklahoma City to face the Barons at 7 p.m. Friday, before returning to Houston to host the Milwaukee Admirals at 7:05 p.m. Saturday.

Wild Prospects Update

Canadian Hockey Leagues

LW Raphael Bussieres - Baie-Comeau (QMJHL): The Wild’s second-round pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft registered four points (2-2=4) and a +3 rating in three games for Baie-Comeau last week. In 12 games, Bussieres has four goals and five assists.

D Matt Dumba - Red Deer (WHL): Registered two assists in three games with Red Deer last week. Minnesota’s first-round selection in this summer’s NHL Draft leads the Rebels and is T-12th among all WHL defensemen with nine points (2-7=9) this season.

C Tyler Graovac - Ottawa (OHL): Totaled two goals in two games last week. Leads all OHL players with 11 goals and ranks T-15th with 15 points this season. Named to the OHL roster for both games of the CHL’s Subway Super Series vs. Russia Nov. 5-15.

College/USHL

D John Draeger - Michigan State (CCHA): The Wild’s third-round selection in this summer’s NHL Entry Draft scored his first two college assists and a +3 rating as Michigan State earned a win and tie against Niagara last weekend.

RW Adam Gilmour - Muskegon (USHL): Minnesota’s fourth-round pick in June’s Draft scored a goal and registered a +2 rating in two victories last week. Through eight games, he has 5 points (2-3=5).

RW Anthony Hamburg - RIT (AHA): Recorded two shots in RIT’s loss to Penn State Saturday. Has been held scoreless in three games.

LW Erik Haula - University of Minnesota (WCHA): Notched a goal in two games as Minnesota earned a win and loss against Michigan Tech. In four games, he has three goals and an assists, as the Gophers are ranked No. 2 in the country.

LW Mario Lucia - Notre Dame (CCHA): Suffered a broken leg before the start of his first season with the Irish and is out indefinitely.

LW Louis Nanne - Penticton (BCHL): Did not play last week after leaving a game with an injury. Before being injured, Nanne had 11 points (4-7=11) in 10 games. Penticton remains the top-ranked team in the BCHL with a record of 12-2-0-1.

D Nick Seeler - Nebraska Omaha (WCHA): Totaled an assist for the Mavericks during a win and loss against Northern Michigan last weekend. In four games, he has a goal, two assists and is plus-2. The defenseman is the Wild.com featured prospect, read more about him, here.

International

RW Christoph Bertschy - SC Bern (Swiss): Recorded a minus-1 rating in three games with Bern last week. Has been held off the score sheet in 13 games.

D Daniel Gunnarsson - Lulea HF (SEL): Totaled a plus-2 rating in two games with Lulea last week. Has two goals, two assits and is plus-6 in 14 games this year.

Goaltenders

Johan Gustafsson - Lulea HF (SEL): Stopped 30-of-32 shots in one win last week. Ranks second in goals-against average (1.56 GAA) among Swedish Elite League goalies and eighth in save percentage (.929 SV%), having stopped 159-of-171 shots.

Stephen Michalek - Harvard (ECAC): Set to begin his sophomore season after being named to the ECAC All-Rookie Team during his first campaign. Harvard opens the season against Bentley on Oct. 27.
