
The Minnesota Wild’s revolution will be televised.
The Wild, in conjunction with FOX Sports North, announced its broadcast schedule for the 2012-13 season. FOX Sports North will televise a total of 44 games and the Wild will make four national television appearances. Each of the Wild’s 48 regular season games will be televised this season.
Minnesota opens its season at Xcel Energy Center on Saturday, Jan. 19 against the Colorado Avalanche at 8 p.m. as part of Hockey Day Minnesota on FOX Sports North, presented by Wells Fargo. Each fan will receive a Wild T-shirt at their seat courtesy of the Wild and FOX Sports North. Each of the Wild’s first four games will be on FOX Sports North.
FOX Sports North’s telecast schedule features at least one game versus each of the Wild’s 14 different opponents. FOX Sports North will broadcast all 18 games against Northwest Division opponents. FOX Sports North’s schedule includes 22 telecasts at Xcel Energy Center and 22 road contests. Six Wild games will appear on FOX Sports North PLUS.
Wild Live on FOX Sports North will air before and after every game telecast, part of the network’s family of comprehensive and personalized pre and postgame shows.
Minnesota Wild telecasts on FOX Sports North will feature play-by-play announcer Anthony LaPanta and color analyst Mike Greenlay. Tom Hanneman will host Wild Live before and after every game featuring analysis from Tom Chorske, Kevin Gorg and Wes Walz.
The Wild will make four television appearances on the NBC Sports Network - Sunday, Jan. 27 at St. Louis, Wednesday, Jan. 30 vs. Chicago, Wednesday, March 20 at Detroit, and Tuesday, April 9 vs. Chicago. For out-of-state residents, the Wild will also make two appearances on NHL Network (US), Friday, Jan. 25 at Detroit, and Friday, April 26 against Edmonton.
The Wild will also televise “Wild Wednesday” Jan. 16, including the Red & White Intra-squad Scrimmage, with Wild Live beginning at 6:30 p.m.
