Day Two started with a nice view of Lake Superior from our rooms at the Larsmont Cottages. After breakfast we returned to the edge of the water to shoot promotional videos for the local cable affiliate. Luckily, we had some time before our first appearance of the day so our group was able to spend a few minutes down by the water. My feet were quickly chilled (and numb) after a few seconds in the lake. Then, Hards, Greenlay and I decided to have a rock throwing contest to determine who could get it closest to a far-away bolder. While Josh was declared the victor in a close contest, it wasn't without controversy as my attempt was nearly equal to his distance. I held minimal hard feelings as we boarded the bus for our first stop of the day in Two Harbors.

We actually had a slight detour on our drive to our first Day Two appearance because the street we planned to turn on near the event was closed off — for a game of street hockey. That's the most legitimate excuse for a detour I've ever heard of. We made our way to a downtown park and were greeted by many nice people. After autographs and pictures, it was time to board the bus for our second stop in Cloquet.

Our trip out of Two Harbors included some incredible views along the Lake Superior shore, and a stop at a local gas station for a movie for today's drive. While the city was full of great people, the local Redbox was lacking. Our comedic fix would not be met today, so we settled for Broken City with Mark Wahlberg and Russell Crowe; because how can you go wrong with those two actors? Well, turns out you can and we all discovered why that movie had such a short lifespan in the theaters. Let's hope Day Three brings better DVD luck.

We also stopped in Cloquet today! I enjoyed my first Gordy's cheeseburger and understand why we were told to stop there. Yum. We drove down the road to the local ice rink where a long line of fans (we think our largest turnout yet) were awaiting us in an outside setup. The fans braved the hot parking lot and we enjoyed talking to all the folks who came out. I spoke to a few Duluth TV stations to end the visit in front of the massive Cloquet Lumberjack on the side of the ice rink.

We next drove to Brainerd (Dan the Man still providing a stellar ride) where we will stay tonight and start the morning. But first, some of us are going to go get in a few holes on the local golf course tonight.

I'm excited to see the fans tomorrow in Brainerd, and of course, my hometown of Elk River. If anyone in Brainerd wants to bring us a non-Blue Ray DVD of Major League, you'll probably make six new best friends. That's turned into the Holy Grail for our bus rides and we can't find it anywhere!

It will be fun to hear about the other Legs of the Wells Fargo Minnesota Wild Road Tour, because we've had a great few days meeting fans around the State of Hockey. One more day on the road and then Summer Bash back in Roseville.

Also from today is a video post from PONDcast editor, Kevin Falness. He is with Leg 1 along with Charlie Coyle, Jason Zucker and Wes Walz. The video can be seen here
