Unlike last year's lockout shortened season, the Minnesota Wild will have a full training camp including six exhibition games in preparation for the 2013-14 National Hockey League season.
The 2013 Minnesota Wild Training Camp, presented by Andersen Windows, will open on Thursday, Sept. 12 at 9:30 a.m. at Ridder Arena. The Wild will use Xcel Energy Center for training camp starting on Friday, Sept. 13.
Fans can catch the team in action before the start of the season on two days this weekend, as Minnesota will open the doors to the public at Xcel Energy Center. On Saturday, Sept. 14 fans can watch the team's practice session beginning at 9:30 a.m., and enter through Gate 1. On Sunday, Sept. 15 the Wild will hold a Team Green vs. Team White scrimmage starting at 11 a.m. Gate 1 will open at 10:45 a.m.
Minnesota also announced its training camp roster and schedule today. The Wild’s training camp roster currently consists of 36 players, click here for full roster, with possible additions coming from players currently participating in the 2013 NHL Prospects Tournament in Traverse City, Mich. Player medical examinations and fitness testing will take place on Sept. 11 followed by the start of training camp on Sept. 12.
Preseason tickets are on sale now at the Xcel Energy Center Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations. Regular season Minnesota Wild regular season single-game tickets will go on sale Saturday, Sept. 14 at 9 a.m. at the Xcel Energy Center Box Office (175 West Kellogg Boulevard) and at noon on Wild.com, and all Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com) locations or by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000. The Wild’s ticket on-sale is presented by Dairy Queen. Minnesota hosts the Los Angeles Kings on Opening Night at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3 at Xcel Energy Center.
