The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, finished a five-game homestand (2-3-0) by going 1-2-0 in three games over the weekend. Iowa defeated the Texas Stars, 4-2, on Friday. Forward Erik Haula netted two power-play goals and forwards Taylor Matson and Jason Zucker also scored while G Darcy Kuemper made 32 saves in the win. The Wild lost its second match against the Stars on Saturday, 5-0. Iowa fired 26 shots against Texas and Kuemper made a season-high 44 saves in the loss. Iowa dropped the last meeting of the homestand, 5-2, to the Milwaukee Admirals on Sunday. Zucker and D Steven Kampfer scored for the club while G Johan Gustafsson stopped 22-of-26 shots. Haula (3-4=7) leads the Wild with seven points. Zucker (3-3=6), C Carson McMillan (2-4=6), C Zack Phillips (2-4=6) and D Brian Connelly (0- 6=6) have six points each. Kuemper is 3-3-0 with a 2.89 GAA and a .915 SV% and Gustafsson is 2-1-0 with a 2.58 GAA, .913 SV% and one shutout on the season. C Jake Dowell was named team captain on Saturday.

Iowa travels to Rockford this weekend for back-to-back games against the Ice Hogs on Friday and Saturday.

CANADIAN HOCKEY LEAGUES

RW Kurtis Gabriel - Owen Sound (OHL): Gabriel ranks second on Owen Sound with 12 assists and is T-3rd with 17 points (5-12=17) in 14 games...tallied five points in three games (1- 4=5) last week as the Attack went 0-3-0 in those games...named an assistant captain (10/15). Wild’s third-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

D Dylan Labbe - Shawinigan (QMJHL): Ranks T-3rd and leads all defensemen on Shawinigan with 10 points (2- 8=10) in 17 games. Minnesota’s fourth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

COLLEGE/USHL

D Nolan De Jong - Michigan (Big Ten): De Jong tallied his first career point with Michigan, an assist on Saturday as Michigan swept Michigan Tech in back-to-back home games. Wild’s seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

D John Draeger - Michigan State (Big Ten): Minnesota’s third-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft is currently sidelined with an abdominal injury.

C Adam Gilmour - Boston College (Hockey East): Gilmour scored the game-winning goal Saturday in overtime as Boston College swept Northeastern in a home-and-home series. Wild’s fourth- round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

LW Mario Lucia - Notre Dame (Hockey East): Had two shots on goal during the Irish’s weekend split at Vermont. Wild’s second-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

LW Louis Nanne - Souix Falls (USHL): Minnesota’s seventh-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft is currently sidelined following shoulder surgery this summer and is expected to be out until mid-December.

D Gustav Olofsson - Colorado College (NCHC): The Wild’s second-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft is out with a shoulder injury and is expected to be out four to six weeks.

C Avery Peterson - Souix City (USHL): Tallied a goal and two penalty minutes in three games last week as Sioux City went 3-0-0. Peterson ranks fifth on the Musketeers with eight points. Minnesota’s sixth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

D Nick Seeler - Nebraska Omaha (NCHC): Nebraska-Omaha swept Denver with two overtime road wins this past weekend. T-1st on the Mavericks in penalty minutes this season. Wild’s fifth-round selection in 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

D Carson Soucy - Minnesota Duluth (NCHC): Tallied an assist and four penalty minutes during the Bulldog’s weekend split at Ohio State. Leads team in assists and T-4th in points (1st among team defensemen). Minnesota’s fifth-round selection in 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

EUROPE

C Christoph Bertschy - SC Bern (Swiss): Recorded three points (1-2=3) in two games last week. Wild’s sixth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

D Daniel Gunnarsson - Lulea HF (Sweden): Tallied an assist in two games last week and ranks T-2nd amongst team defensemen in scoring. Minnesota’s fifth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

GOALTENDERS

Alexandre Belanger - Rouyn-Noranda (QMJHL): Ranks T-5th in QMJHL in wins and was named QMJHL third star of the week on Oct. 28 after going 3-0-0 with a 2.33 GAA and a .926 SV%. Wild’s seventh-round selection in this summer’s 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Steven Michalek - Harvard (ECAC): Lost his second start of the season Union (11/2) stopping a season- high 43-of-46 shots in the Crimson’s 4-2 loss. Minnesota’s sixth- round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
