As we reflect back on the Wild’s 2013-14 season, we’ll take a look at some of the biggest individual milestones members of the Wild achieved. Next up, we look at a 30-goal season.
On the same day as the Wild’s season opener against the Los Angeles Kings, Jason Pominville inked a five-year contract extension and quickly showed his was worthy of it. He made the most of his season, racking up 30 goals and 60 points. He netted his 30th goal in the final game of the regular season against Nashville on April 13. He also picked up two assists in the contest for a three-point night, thus registering his 60 points on the season and securing his spot as the Wild’s leading goal-scorer and point-getter on the year.
It was the third time in his career that he netted 30 goals and he was also the third Wild player to do so. It marked the sixth time he has registered 60 points and he was the eighth Wild player to hit that threshold.
He also surpassed several other milestones this season including his 200th career goal at Carolina on Nov. 9, his 500th career point on an assist at San Jose Jan. 25 and his 300th career assist at New Jersey on March 20.
