After taking yesterday off, the Minnesota Wild travels to Winnipeg for its first preseason road game against new Central Division rival, the Jets. The game also is the first of a home-and-home with Winnipeg.
The Wild dropped its opening preseason game at home against the Columbus Blue Jackets, 3-1. Nino Niederreiter scored the team’s lone goal on the power play, and was assisted by Charlie Coyle and Mikael Granlund.
The Jets downed the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday, 3-2. Winnipeg has skated in three preseason games, going 1-1-1.

What to Watch
While Minnesota will debut its new road white sweaters, there have been a number of players making their first Wild appearances this preseason. Wild Head Coach Mike Yeo said he wants players to earn their spots this season, and he's giving youngsters ample chance to prove themselves early. Today, Erik Haula and Kyle Medvec slip on the Wild sweater for the first time.
