GAMEDAY: Wild at St. Louis

The Minnesota Wild closes out its preseason schedule tonight on the road in St. Louis, closing out a home-and-home series against the Blues. The Wild topped St. Louis, 3-1, at Xcel Energy Center on Wednesday.

You might’ve noticed the Red Baron Pizza logo in today’s preview photo. UPDATED: The Wild has recalled goaltender
Johan Gustafsson from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League and released David Steckel from his professional try out.

What to Watch

Much has been made about the evalution of the Wild’s young players at camp and making enough of an impression this preseason to make the club’s Opening Night roster as Minnesota hosts the Los Angeles Kings on Oct. 3. Well, tonight is the final game where the young guys get to show their stuff. Mikael Granlund is expect to play tonight after suffering an upper-body tweak in Winnipeg and is in contention for a regular spot in the lineup.
