|A few members of Nashville don't need much introduction. Matt Cullen spent three seasons with the Wild, while Eric Nystrom also skated for Minnesota. Nashville's first-round pick from the summer, Seth Jones, is on the roster. Jones was Ryan Suter's roommate at the U.S. Olympic Orientation Camp.||It's the Predators home opener, and their coaches and players will be arriving on the gold carpet beginning at 4 p.m. Once inside, check out new food items for this season including Nashville poutine, chicken fried steak on a stick and Smores waffle.
The Wild will wear its WHITE sweaters tonight.
|Zach Parise recorded his 30th career multiple goal game Saturday against Anaheim. It marked his fifth as a member of the Wild. Parise is also tied for a team-best plus-one this season, while his 14 shots are eight more than any other player on the Wild.
Fans can guess who's going to be hot with the Wild's HotBox Fantasy Challenge presented by the Pioneer Press for a chance to win great prizes.
|With Charlie Coyle's injury, the lines will be lighly shaken up Tuesday as Granlund moves up to center the second line:
Parise – Koivu – Pominville
Heatley – Granlund – Zucker
Niederreiter – Brodziak – Cooke
Mitchell – Konopka – Fontaine
Stoner is the only change from last game:
Suter – Brodin
Spurgeon – Scandella
Ballard – Stoner
Niklas Backstrom will get his third-straight start this season. He is 9-5-1 with a 2.56 GAA and a .912 SV% in 15 games (13 starts) vs. Nashville.
Not too many things get to that guy. It's a cliche, but he's got ice in his veins.

|The Wild will sit defensemen Mathew Dumba and Nate Prosser. If Parise is in the lineup, McMillan also will be scratched.

|Center Matt Cullen is a Virginia native and skated with the Wild the last three seasons collecting 101 points (33-68=101) in 193 games. Another Predators Center, Matt Hendricks, hails from Blain and is a former St. Cloud State Husky. Left winger Eric Nystrom spent the 2010-11 season with Minnesota, appearing in 82 games. He made the jump from high school to the NHL as a player, so no surprise that Hall-of-Famer Phil Housley left Stillwater High School as a coach to be an assistant with the Predators.||Six of the last seven meetings between the Wild and Preds have been decided by one goal; the last three at Bridgestone Arena have all gone to a shootout.|
|Wild at Preds will be broadcast locally in high definition on FOX Sports North with a start time at 7:00 p.m. The game can be heard on KFAN 100.3 FM or online at Wild.com.||
