Players Confirmed For Road Tour
In addition to Wild players, several other hockey dignitaries will be traveling as well including: Assistant Coach Mike Ramsey, broadcasters Bob Kurtz, Mike Greenlay, Tom Reid and Dan Terhaar and former Wild player and current Director of Community Partnerships, Brad Bombardir.
The players will be at every stop with the exception of Parrish, who will not be able to join Boogaard, Terhaar and Greenlay in Northfield and Red Wing on June 25. Boogaard and Parrish will both be in Rochester and Waseca on June 26, and Mankato and New Prague on June 27.
Bouchard, Veilleux, Ramsey and Bombardir will make up Leg Two and hit the Iron Range and Central Minnesota with stops in Eveleth, Hibbing, Grand Rapids, Brainerd, Pequot Lakes and Alexandria.
Young and old...er...experienced come together on Leg Three as Josh Harding and Brent Burns will travel with the radio tandem of Bob Kurtz and Tom Reid to Sioux Falls and Yankton, South Dakota, Sioux City, Iowa, New Ulm and Hutchinson.
Each tour stop will include a fundraising opportunity for local youth hockey associations. Wild partners Coca-Cola and Schweigert will be donating product for each city's youth hockey association to sell at the stops, with all proceeds benefitting local youth hockey.
This year's tour will also feature one "Super Stop" on each of the three legs. Super Stops in Brainerd, Mankato and Sioux Falls, SD will be graced by the presence of Wild Radio Producer, Kevin Falness. The stops will feature hockey-themed games and an interactive session with Wild celebrities that will include interviews, hockey trivia and a fan/player question and answer session.
All tour participants will join together at the Summer Bash in Rice Park from 5:00 to 9:00 PM on the 28th. Fans will have the chance to play hockey-themed games against Wild players and coaches, and can take part in autograph sessions and photo opportunities with Wild celebrities. The event will also feature live music, food, beverages and a Wild broadcast booth. FSN North and WCCO Radio's "Sports to the Max" will be broadcasting live from the event.
