Post Game Quotes - Gerard Gallant

COLUMBUS COACH GERARD GALLANT QUOTES
Friday, October 29, 2005 versus Minnesota

Your thoughts about the game tonight:

"Big difference from last night to tonight.  We didn't seem to have the energy that we did last night.  We were right in it until the last 20 seconds.  We have to play better on the road if we expect to win.  We tried to get too cute and we just stood around and watched Minnesota play.  We started out okay early then just started dumping the puck and then just reacted to what Minnesota was doing.  We had a chance to win it in the third period with three (3) straight power plays but couldn't score.  We have to start paying the price and get in front of the net."

How nice will it be to get Klesla and Nash back in the lineup:

"It will be a big lift getting those two guys back.  They are a big part of our club and we need them because we have a tough road trip coming up against Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.  We have to try and play like we did last night."

Dan Fritsche

Looked like two different games for you guys over the last 24 hours:

"It's tough to sustain that pressure like we had last night for two games in a row, especially against the same team.  We battled hard last night and were able to pull it out.  It would have been nice to take points out of tonight.  Fatigue seemed to set in early but that is no excuse because I'm sure both teams were tired.  We seem to be playing better lately and it seems like it's starting to come together.  As soon as we get all the guys back in the lineup, we should be okay.  We had a tough start at the beginning of the year but all the guys seem to be playing better right now, so that is a good sign for our club."
