Chouinard, who missed a total of seven games, ranks tied for fourth on the club in scoring with 11 points on six goals and five assists.
To make room for Chouinard, Minnesota will assign RW Matt Foy to Houston of the American Hockey League. Foy had played in 19 games with the Wild, scoring two goals and three assists.
With Chouinard’s return, the Wild are inching closer to full strength. In the last week, RW Marian Gaborik and C Todd White have also returned from injuries. D Andrei Zyuzin is currently on injured reserve with a strained knee.
