Mike Kitchen Postgame Quotes

Friday, November 25, 2005 versus Minnesota

A couple break away goals for them.

“Both of them we had poor reads on those.  I don’t we respected that.  We talked about that before the game, about long passes.  We didn’t seem to respect that.  They were easy reads, you gotta respect it.”

McAmmond (Dean) got that goal and gave you some momentum going into the third period.  But then there was that tough goal on the blue line.  “That was a heartbreaker.  We played a decent hockey game up until then.  And then that goal goes in, that’s hard to handle.  And we had a lot of time left.  And then every time we’d score they’d come back.”

Dean McAmmond

Describe the goal.

“The goalie was going to freeze it and stuck his hand out.  Jammer (Jamal Mayers) saw that and stayed right on the play.  Jammer took a swipe at it and battled and got it back out, and I just tipped it right in the net.”

Was that a nice break for you?

“It was nice to get that and give us a little boost.”

This was a pretty tough loss for you.

“We did some good things out there.  I thought we played pretty solid the first period.  We had a couple break downs.”
