Zyuzin: "I Am Absoulutely Ready To Go"
Zyuzin skated with the team for the third time in four days on Monday, and he says his knee is close to 100%.
"I feel great," said the eight year NHL veteran. "I feel comfortable on the ice, and the knee is getting better every day.
I don’t know about Wednesday. The coaches and the doctors will have to decide."
Zyuzin’s injury was originally thought to keep him out of action for up to five weeks. But his hard work with the Wild trainers has him ready to play only three weeks after the injury first occurred."I am absolutely ready to go. Oh yeah. I’ll be happy when I hear I’m playing from the coaches. I hope they can clear me to play."
Wild head coach Jacques Lemaire did not speculate on Zyuzin’s return after practice, but he may delay the decision at least until after Wednesday’s game. When Zyuzin is activated from injured reserve, the Wild will have to make a roster move, meaning someone will have to be put on waivers or sent to Houston of the American Hockey League.
