Jacques Lemaire Postgame Quotes

Wednesday, November 30, 2005 versus Columbus

“To come back from a two to zero deficit is good.  We had a lot of chances to win the game, but just didn’t.”

Did you run into a hot goalie, or just made him hot?

“I felt he was the best player out there for sure.  He kept them in the game.  We put a lot of pressure on him in the second and third period, and he was solid in the net.”

Regarding the four on four.

“Mike Ramsey was telling me he was looking forward to playing four on four because the guys were controlling the puck and making plays.  Like Bouchard (Pierre-Marc), he made great plays tonight.  He had an exceptional game.”

Marian Gaborik

How about the goalie?

“He played well.  Maybe we should have put more shots high on him.  He was down most of the time.”

What was your plan on the shootout?

“I was thinking to go low blocker, then the five hole opened up.  I just tried to surprise him and go five hole.”

On the second and third period.

“We shuffled the lines a bit and went into more offense and eventually tied the game up.  We were moving the puck well.”

How did your legs hold up?

“I tried to stay with short shifts out there.  Tonight was the most difficult game so far, and it held up.”
