DaCosta is in his sixth year as the Wild’s head equipment manager. A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, DaCosta was part of the Winnipeg/Phoenix Coyotes organization for more than 19 years. He started working for the Winnipeg Jets as dressing room attendant and equipment manager in 1986 for NHL teams visiting the Winnipeg Arena and was promoted to assistant equipment manager for the 1988-89 season.
DaCosta has also served as equipment manager for two NHL All-Star Games (1998 in Vancouver and 2004 in Saint Paul) and held the same position with Team Canada during the 2001 World Championships in Germany.
