Jacques Lemaire Postgame Quotes

Friday, December 23, 2005 versus Colorado

What is the difference in playing at home?

“We seem to have more intensity when we play at home.  We had good legs tonight.  Even on the five on three we could have scored there.  It was hard for our point man to get a shot.  They played real well in front of us.”

Do you thing the guys will be ready after the break?

“I think the guys know what’s going on.  We have a couple days off before we go on the road to Edmonton.  It’s won’t be easy, but the guys have to be ready.”

Your thoughts on Foster’s (Kurtis Foster) play.

“He’s hard to keep off the ice.  Even when he got hit he came back on the ice.  Hopefully he’ll stay confident, and continue to play well.  He’s been getting a lot of ice time.  I like to pair him up with Willie (Willie Mitchell), it’s a good fit.  He sees the ice pretty well.”

Todd White

Talk about your goal.

“I was looking to make a pass like I usually do, but I decided to shoot far side.  Luckily he left a little room for me.”

How do you feel the guys have been playing lately?

“We’ve been playing quite a few tight games.  We’ve been keeping all the games close.  We’ve been loosing some on some strange bounces, but we have to continue to play hard.  We have not been getting many breaks lately, but the guys stay positive and work hard.  Like tonight, we scored some big goals in that third period.  We have a good group of guys that work hard, and after the break we’ve got some tough games coming up on the road against division foes.”
