 Russia goaltender Anton Khudobin, the Wild’s seventh round pick in 2004, is 4-0-0 with a 1.50 goals against average at the World Junior Championships.
HOUSTON AEROS (25-8-1-1, 1st place in West Division) – Houston won all three games played last week to extend its winning streak to seven games…The Aeros play at San Antonio on Thursday and host Grand Rapids on Friday…Rookie D Ryan Stokes’ first goal as an Aero 1:32 into overtime gave Houston a come-from-behind 4-3 win at San Antonio Saturday…C Joey Taticek and D Clayton Stoner each tallied a goal and an assist, RW Kirby Law chipped in two helpers and G Seamus Kotyk had 26 saves…C Erik Westrum tallied a goal and an assist and Law scored as Houston knocked off the Iowa Stars 3-2 in front of a season-high 7,271 fans at Toyota Center last Wednesday…G Josh Harding made 26 saves, C Patrick O’Sullivan (1-1=2) and RW Matt Foy (0-2=2) added two points each…Law scored two goals and Westrum added three assists as the Aeros rolled to a 7-1 victory over San Antonio at home last Monday...Taticek added a goal and two assists, O’Sullivan and RW Joel Ward also scored and Harding made 27 saves…Westrum leads the AHL in scoring with 49 points (14-35=49) and Law ranks tied for second with 46 points (21-25=46)…O’Sullivan ranks tied for fourth in rookie scoring with 32 points (16-16=32)…Harding is 19-6-0 with a 2.49 GAA and ranks first in wins and fourth in the AHL with a .924 save %.

Future Wild

CHL

C Kyle Bailey - Portland (WHL): Has scored 11 goals and 20 assists for 31 points in 31 games with Portland. Ranks fifth on his team in scoring, fourth in assists and third in penalty minutes with 72. Owns four power play tallies this season.

LW Patrick Bordeleau - Val-D’Or (QMJHL): Has scored 10 goals and 22 assists for 32 points in 33 games with Val-D’Or. Ranks tied for third on the team in scoring and third in assists. Has six power play goals and two game-winning goals to his credit.

D Riley Emmerson - Tri-City (WHL): Has scored one goal in 34 games with Tri-City with 61 penalty minutes.

LW Matt Kassian - Kamloops (WHL): Has scored four goals and two assists for six points in 38 games with Kamloops. Leads the team with 87 penalty minutes. Three of his goals have come on the power play.

LW Benoit Pouliot - Sudbury (OHL): Scored 17 goals and 17 assists for 34 points in 23 games with Sudbury. Leads the team in goals and plus/minus rating (+13), and ranks second in scoring. Has seven power play goals and three shorthanded goals. Has registered four assists and 12 penalty minutes for Canada at the World Junior championships. Will play for the gold medal on Thursday vs. Russia.

D A.J. Thelen - Prince Albert (WHL): Has scored seven goals and 11 assists for 18 points in 39 games. Is tied for the team lead with five power play goals and ranks fifth in scoring.

College

D Anthony Aiello - Boston College (Hockey East): Has scored three assists in 14 games with B.C.

RW Mike Erickson - Western Michigan (CCHA): Scored eight goals and five assists for 13 points in 18 games with Western Michigan. Ranks third on the team in scoring and has four power play goals.

C Danny Irmen - Minnesota (WCHA): Scored five goals and seven assists for 12 points in 11 games, and ranks sixth on the team in scoring despite missing nine games with a broken finger.

F Ryan Jones - Miami (CCHA): Scored seven goals and six assists for 13 points in 17 games with  Miami. Ranks tied for second on the team in goals and fourth in scoring.

C Kyle Wilson - Colgate (ECAC): Scored 13 goals and seven assists for 20 points in 17 games. Ranks second on team in goals and third in scoring. Leads the team with seven power play goals and tied for first with three game-winning goals.

Europe

C Morten Madsen - Frolunda Jr. (SWE): Scored six goals and 20 assists for 26 points in 25 games with Frolunda. Ranks fourth on the team in scoring and second in assists. Represented Denmark in the World Junior B Championships.

D Georgi Misharin - CSKA Moscow (RUS): Scored one goal and eight assists for nine points in 34 games with CSKA Moscow.

RW Julien Sprunger - HC Fribourg (SUI): Scored 11 goals and 10 assists for 21 points in 28 games with HC Fribourg. Ranks tied for third on the team in scoring and tied for second in goals. Scored a goal and two assists for Switzerland at the World Juniors.

D Mikhail Tyulyapkin - Novokuznetsk (RUS): Scored two goals and two assists for four points in 22 games.

Goaltenders

Anton Khudobin - Saskatoon (WHL): Is 4-0-0 with a 1.50 goals against average and a .953 save percentage with Russia at the World Juniors. Will play in the gold medal game on Thursday vs. Canada.

Miroslav Kopriva - Austin (CHL): Owns a 5-1-0 record with a 1.83 goals against average and a .945 save percentage. Named the CHL Goaltender of the Week on December 5, and was assigned to Houston on December 17.

Kristofer Westblom - Kelowna (WHL): Owns an 8-5-1 record with a 3.61 goals against average and a .865 save percentage.
