Jacques Lemaire Postgame Quotes

Thursday, January 05, 2006 versus Colorado

Looked like the team played well, but a few individual mistakes cost you.  “We came out very well.  We were skating well, moving the puck well, and getting chances.  We made two mistakes we shouldn’t make, and they got the lead.  We kept coming and played great in the second period, but their goalie made the saves.”

Was it tough from being possibly one point out to now being five points out?  “I don’t think so.  I think we played much better than we did in the Detroit game.  Some times you get chances and you run into a hot goal tender, or you can’t get the rebounds, or they put their stick there so you can’t get a clear shot.”

Dwayne Roloson

A tough way to start the home stand.  “It’s not the way we wanted to get it going.  We had a lot of chances.  We didn’t capitalize on ours and they capitalized on theirs.”

Having faced three breakaways.  “On all three of them they made great plays to create them.  I’ve got to make the saves there to keep us in the game.”
