Bryan Murray Postgame Quotes

Monday, January 16, 2006 versus Minnesota

What was your game plan for tonight.

“We tried to play a little tighter defensively and try not to allow too much.  When we go back home we try to open up the offense a little bit more.  We started out this year a little slow, but we’re playing well as a team right now.”

What do you feel changed the game tonight.

“As soon as we tied it up one to one, I thought we played very well from there on out.  We didn’t give them many chances, and didn’t allow many shots.  It was a total team effort.”

Dany Heatley

What do you attribute your teams success.

“Keep the game simple, pucks in and out of the zone, cover up in front of the net.  We go into the game feeling we can win every night.  It’s nice to play in front of a home town that has a passion for hockey.  I like the pressure, and we’re playing real well right now.  We have a lot of guys that can score on this team and we are playing well defensively.  That’s a good combination.  We weren’t playing as well at the beginning of the season, but we are playing well as a team right now.”

Do you follow the WCHA?  “Yes I check the box scores as much as I can.  I’m glad to see the Badgers doing as well as they are right now.”

This was a dominant performance tonight.

“We seem to have had a lot of those lately.  We are playing very well.  They are a good team defensively.  We were able to keep the puck in their zone, and work them down low.  We didn’t allow a lot of quality chances.”
