Harding To Make NHL Debut Tuesday
|Josh Harding’s NHL career officially begins on Tuesday night vs. St. Louis.|
Wild head coach Jacques Lemaire confirmed that Harding will make his NHL debut between the pipes on Tuesday night when the Wild hosts the St. Louis Blues at the Xcel Energy Center. At 7:07 PM tomorrow night, Harding will be the first Wild goaltender not named Fernandez or Roloson to start a game since Dieter Kochan was the losing netminder in a 5-1 loss to Edmonton on January 29, 2003.

Harding said he’ll have trouble sleeping Monday night, but he’s thrilled to be getting his first opportunity.
"It’s an exciting day," said Harding. "It’s the day I’ve been waiting for my whole life. You only get one first impression so hopefully the game goes well for me."
"It’s good for the organization and for him," said Lemaire. "We wanted to keep Manny in there as much as possible to show him how it is to be first. We’re very pleased with his reaction and now it’s time to see what Josh can do."
Harding was drafted by Minnesota in the second round of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He has spent the last two seasons with the Houston Aeros, including this year, when he was 27-8-0 before he was called up.
