MINNESOTA COACH JACQUES LEMAIRE QUOTES
Tuesday, April 4, 2006 versus St. Louis

Exciting game for your goalie tonight

“Yeah, we made it exciting for him.  Our reaction around the net was not very good, especially on the penalty kill.  We were not sharp with the lateral passes across the net, that is why we gave up the goals.”

Nice to get goals from other players tonight

“That is a big plus getting goals from the players you don’t expect.  We need that if we are going to win.  The overtime was exciting, we had quite a few chances.  I’m sure it was exciting for the fans.”

Talk about Josh Harding’s play

“I felt only one goal he had a chance at.  I think he played pretty well.  He was great in the shootout.  It was nice for him to get the win.”

Talk about the play of Stephane Veilleux

“He has been working hard but the difference tonight, he scored.  He has been hitting and playing well but with no success in the scoring column.”

Stephane Veilleux

That was a great overtime for you guys

“Yeah, I thought we played well in the overtime, it was exciting for the fans.  We talked that we only have seven games left and we want to make sure we play well, especially at home in front of our fans.”

It was a good night for you tonight

“I’m trying to play well.  Sometime it doesn’t go my way but I try to be as consistent as I can and give good energy on every shift.”

Do you try and set the tone when you are out there?

“I try to work hard and finish the checks when I can but its fun to get rewarded with points.  I have to build on this game and go forward.”

Talk about the play of Josh Harding

“Everyone is happy for him.  Manny has helped him the last couple of practices.  I think he was a little nervous when he found out he was starting but I thought he played well tonight and its nice to see him get his first win.”
