MINNESOTA WILD ANNOUNCES NEW
MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT WITH ANHEUSER-BUSCH

The Minnesota Wild announced today a new multi-year partnership agreement with Anheuser-Busch.  As part of the premier partnership agreement with the club, Bud Light will continue to serve as the “Official Beer of the Minnesota Wild.”  Anheuser-Busch has been a Minnesota Wild corporate partner since May of 2000.

“We’re extremely excited to continue our partnership with Bud Light and Anheuser-Busch,” said Executive Vice President Matt Majka.  “Anheuser-Busch has been a premier partner of the Minnesota Wild since our inaugural season.”

Bud Light and the Wild will continue to hold the popular “Hockey Unplugged” program which encourages fan access to athletes in a casual atmosphere.  Once a month during the NHL regular season, the Minnesota Wild and Bud Light will invite a Wild player or local hockey celebrity to appear at a local bar or restaurant to tell hockey stories and interact with fans.

“Bud Light is proud to renew its partnership with the Minnesota Wild,’” said Tony Ponturo, vice president, Global Media and Sports Marketing, Anheuser-Busch, Inc. “We’re excited to help fans get closer to the game through innovative opportunities such as ‘Hockey Unplugged.’ NHL hockey and the Minnesota Wild are an important part of our overall sports sponsorship strategy.”

Anheuser-Busch will continue to receive full integration of team and arena marketing opportunities including prominent Arena signage and sponsorship of one of the two Zamboni’s® to be used in the Xcel Energy Center.  Bud Light will be the exclusive alcohol advertiser of telecasts on KSTC.TV, Channel 45, FSN North, and radio broadcasts on WCCO Radio.  Additionally, Anheuser-Busch will continue to implement its “Good Sport” communications, training and fan management program designed to help stadium operators, team owners and concessionaires promote a positive crowd environment.

Bud Light sponsors 22 of 24 domestic NHL teams.  Bud Light has been the Official Beer of the NHL since 1994, with rights to use the NHL, Conference, Division, League, All-Star, Playoff and Stanley Cup Finals logos.  Bud Light is also a major sponsor of hockey in the Olympic Winter Games, the NHL All-Star Game (in non-Olympic years), and the presenting sponsor of the Bud Light NHL Plus-Minus Award and NHL All-Star Game MVP Award.

As per club policy, financial terms of the multi-year deal were not disclosed.
