Schedule Set For 2006 Wells Fargo Wild Road Tour

TOUR WILL VISIT 15 CITIES IN THREE DAYS BEFORE CONCLUDING IN SAINT PAUL

altThe Minnesota Wild, in partnership with Wells Fargo, has announced the dates, times and locations of the 15-city 2006 Wells Fargo Wild Road Tour, which will begin Monday, June 26 and culminate with the first ever Wells Fargo Wild Summer Bash Thursday, June 29 at Rice Park in downtown Saint Paul.

Four Wild celebrities, including two Wild players, will be present on each of the tour’s three legs. Wild players Derek Boogaard, Brent Burns, Marc Chouinard, Kurtis Foster, Josh Harding and Stephane Veilleux will participate in the tour, as will coaches Bob Mason and Mike Ramsey. Also appearing on the tour will be broadcasters Mike Greenlay, Tom Reid and Dan Terhaar, along with former Wild player and current team community liaison Brad Bombardir.

Each tour stop will include a fundraising opportunity for local youth hockey associations. Wild partners Coca-Cola and Schweigert will be donating product for each city’s youth hockey association to sell at the stops, with all proceeds benefiting local youth hockey.

This year’s tour will also feature one Super Stop on each of the three legs. Super Stops in Brainerd, Duluth and Rochester will treat fans to hockey-themed games and an interactive session with Wild celebrities that will include interviews, hockey trivia and an opportunity for fans to ask questions of Wild players, coaches and broadcasters.

Saint Paul’s Rice Park will serve as the final destination for each leg, where tour members will join the first ever Wells Fargo Wild Summer Bash on June 29. From 5:00-9:00 PM fans will have a chance to play hockey-themed games against Wild players and coaches and can take part in autograph sessions and photo opportunities with Wild celebrities. The event will also feature live music, food, beverages and an opportunity to meet the Wild broadcast team. WCCO Radio’s “Sports to the Max” will broadcast live from Rice Park from 6:30-9:00 PM.

FSN North, the official cable and satellite television partner of the Minnesota Wild, will accompany the team at each tour stop. FSN North and its local cable affiliates will be on hand in each city with a variety of special promotions. On June 16, fans will be able to get more details regarding the tour during the network’s “FSN Live” show that will air from St. Cloud.

Star Limousine is serving as the official transportation provider of the 2006 Wells Fargo Wild Road Tour. Wild representatives will be transported via one of the company’s large coaches as the team makes its way across the State of Hockey. For more on Star Limousine, visit www.limostar.com.
