Call of the Wild Back For Another Season
The National Hockey League’s (NHL) Minnesota Wild, in conjunction with Comcast, announced today that the fifth season of “Call of the Wild” will begin Saturday, October 7 at 10:30 AM on ESPN2. A total of 10 episodes will air on ESPN2 and Comcast Channel 13 throughout the season. Comcast subscribers can view “Call of the Wild” on ESPN2 each Saturday at 10:30 AM.
The season’s first taping of the Call of the Wild will take place on Monday, October 2 at JJ’s Bierstube in White Bear Lake. Defenseman Keith Carney will be the evening’s guest.
Produced by Comcast Spotlight, in association with the Wild, the half-hour program features Wild player interviews and community appearances, and highlights upcoming events at Xcel Energy Center as well as news and notes from around the NHL. Nine of the 10 episodes will be taped in front of a live audience at selected locations throughout the Twin Cities starting Monday, October 2. Long-time Twin Cities sports reporter Jeff Grayson will host “Call of the Wild” this season. Grayson, a fixture in the Twin Cities market for more than a decade, is returning for his second season as host of the show.
“Call of the Wild” reaches more than 500,000 homes across the Twin Cities, Greater Minnesota and Western Wisconsin, including multiple cable zones and fourteen counties on a weekly basis. Comcast will also broadcast “Call of the Wild” each week on Comcast Channel 13 at 6:30 PM on Tuesdays and Sundays.
