Wild Prospects Report - Oct. 27

HOUSTON AEROS (5-4-0-0, 5th in West Division
) – Houston earned its first sweep of the season with a 3-2 OT win against San Antonio Saturday before topping the Rampage, 2-0, Sunday. The Aeros erased a two-goal deficit in the final 5:03 Saturday night as RW Danny Irmen scored in the third period before tallying the game-winning goal 3:40 into overtime in San Antonio. C Andy Hilbert scored the game-winning goal in the third period and G Anton Khudobin made 28 saves for his second career shutout Sunday night to complete the weekend sweep. Houston will face the Hamilton Bulldogs Tuesday night at home before traveling to Grand Rapids to take on the Griffins Thursday and Friday and ending the week against the Texas Stars Sunday.

Canadian Hockey Leagues

D Tyler Cuma - Ottawa (OHL):
First round pick (23rd overall) in 2008 Draft has played 10 games with zero goals and four assists, with a -2 rating.

LW Kris Foucault - Calgary (WHL): Fourth round pick (103rd overall) in 2009 Draft has five goals and three assists in 15 games, with an even rating. Calgary is 12-3-0-0 this season and is ranked #2 in the Canadian Hockey League.

D Marco Scandella - Val-D'Or (QMJHL): Second round pick (55th overall) in 2008 Draft ranks second among team blueliners in goals (3), points (10) and plus/minus (+3).


C Anthony Hamburg - Omaha (USHL): Seventh round pick (193rd overall) in 2009 Draft, and Colgate University recruit, has a goal and three assists in six games.

LW Erik Haula - Omaha (USHL): The University of Minnesota recruit has six points (2-4=6) in six games, as well as a +5 rating.

D Nick Leddy - Minnesota (WCHA): First round pick (16th overall) was held scoreless last weekend in a two-game series with Denver.

D Sean Lorenz - Notre Dame (CCHA): Fourth round pick (115th overall) has one assist in six games.

D Kyle Medvec - Vermont (HE): Fourth round pick in 2006 (102nd overall) has one goal and one assist in four games.


Matt Hackett - Plymouth (OHL):
Third round pick (77th overall) owns a 2.63 goals against average and a .921 save percentage. His 5-2 in his last seven starts.

Darcy Kuemper - Red Deer (WHL): Is 5-7-0-0 in 13 games with a 4.05 goals against average and a .869 save percentage.
