Wild Recalls D Sifers from AHL
SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled defenseman Jaime Sifers from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL). In addition, the team has placed right wing Martin Havlat and defenseman Brent Burns on injured reserve, retroactive to Nov. 18.

Sifers, 26 (1/18/83), played two games with the Wild this season, averaging 4:53 TOI/game without recording a point before being assigned to Houston on Oct. 20. Sifers has posted three assists and nine penalty minutes in 15 games with the Aeros this season. Sifers recorded two assists and 18 PIM in 23 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2008-09 season. The 5-foot-11, 210-pound native of Stratford, Conn., played collegiately at the University of Vermont, where he was an ECAC Second All-Star Team selection in 2005. The Wild signed Sifers as a free agent July 8. He wears No. 26 with the Wild.
