HOUSTON AEROS (17-14-2-1, 5th in West Division) – Houston fell to rival San Antonio, 4-2, in its lone contest last week but returned to the win column with an OT victory against Syracuse Monday. The Aeros had a holiday break before facing the Rampage in Houston Saturday. RW Jon DiSalavatore and D Maxim Noreau scored for Houston and G Barry Brust made his season debut, stopping 17 shots in the loss. G Anton Khudobin stopped one of three shots in 6:06 before being replaced by Brust in the first. Houston rallied for a 5-4 OT victory in front of the home crowd Monday night. D J.P. Testwuide recorded his first professional two-point game including the GWG in OT and Brust made 21 saves to record the win in his first start of the season saving 21 of 25. The Aeros continue on a schedule of five games in seven days, including road contests at Chicago Wednesday, at Rockford Thursday and at Milwaukee Friday, before returning to Houston to face Abbotsford Sunday.

D Tyler Cuma - Ottawa (OHL): First round pick (23rd overall) in 2008 Draft has 10 points (1-9=10) in 27 games this season.
LW Kris Foucault - Calgary (WHL): The fourth round pick (103rd overall) in 2009 Draft has 11 goals and five assists for 16 points in 36 games for first-place Calgary.
D Marco Scandella - Val-D'Or (QMJHL): Second round pick (55th overall) in 2008 Draft is a plus-two in helping Team Canada to a 2-0-0 record after two games at the World Junior Championships.
C Anthony Hamburg - Omaha (USHL): Seventh round pick (193rd overall) in 2009 Draft, and Colgate University recruit owns 11 points (2-9=11) in 24 games for the top team in the USHL.
LW Erik Haula - Omaha (USHL): The University of Minnesota recruit and seventh round pick (182nd overall) in 2009 NHL Draft ranks third in the USHL in scoring with 12 goals and 27 assists in 25 games.
D Nick Leddy - Minnesota (WCHA): First round pick (16th overall) in last summer's draft was off last week for the holiday break. He has one goal in nine games this season.
D Sean Lorenz - Notre Dame (CCHA): Fourth round pick (115th overall) has one assist in 16 games for the 8-8-4 Irish.
D Kyle Medvec - Vermont (HE): Fourth round pick in 2006 (102nd overall) has posted two goals and four assists along with a +2 rating in 16 games.
Matt Hackett - Plymouth (OHL): The third round draft pick (77th overall) in last year's draft earned the win in one game played last week. He ranks second in the OHL with a .928 save percentage, third with 18 wins and fifth with a 2.54 goals against average.
Darcy Kuemper - Red Deer (WHL): The sixth round pick (161st overall) in last year's draft posted a shutout in one start last week while improving his goals against average (2.99) and save percentage (.904).
