Post Game Notes vs. Detroit
RW Antti Miettinen scored two goals and G Josh Harding made 26 saves to win a start at home for the first time in more than two years, as the Minnesota Wild defeated the Detroit Red Wings 5-2 in front of 18,316 at Xcel Energy Center. LW Guillaume Latendresse, RW Martin Havlat and C Andrew Ebbett scored a goal apiece for Minnesota, which has points in its last seven home games (6-0-1) to set a season-high. The Wild, which got two assists apiece from LW Andrew Brunette and C Mikko Koivu, begins a three-game road trip Thursday in Colorado at 8 p.m. (ct).

RW Antti Miettinen recorded his third two-goal game in his last seven outings. He now has 15 goals this season, tying his career-high, set in each of the last two seasons. Miettinen notched his ninth career two-goal game – fourth this season.

G Josh Harding made 26 saves, winning a home start for the first time since Jan. 13, 2008, against Phoenix. Each of Harding’s last three home starts has come against Detroit (Jan. 3, 2009; Jan. 21, 2010; Jan. 27, 2010). Harding, who won in home in relief against Chicago on Jan. 5, has earned back-to-back wins at Xcel Energy Center for the first time since a three-game streak Dec. 18, 2007-Jan. 13, 2008.  Harding has made 39 of his 54 career starts on the road, including 14 in a row from Jan. 10, 2009-Jan, 14. 2010.

LW Andrew Brunette had two assists, giving him a four-game point streak (1-4=5). Brunette notched his first two-point game since Dec. 5 at Nashville (1-1=2).

LW Guillaume Latendresse scored his 16th goal this season – tying his career-high, set in 2006-07 and matched in 2007-08.

RW Martin Havlat scored his 10th goal of the season and extended his point streak to five games (2-5=7).

C Mikko Koivu recorded two assists and has a team-best 13 multi-point games this season. Koivu leads the Wild with 49 points (16-33=49). The Wild is 10-3-0 when Koivu notches two or more points this season.

C Andrew Ebbett scored his fifth goal of the season – his first in 19 games played since Dec. 5.

D Greg Zanon registered his eighth assist of the season – a new career-high.

D Brent Burns, playing in his third game after a concussion, notched his first point, an assist, since Nov. 15.

The Wild matched a season-high with a three-goal first period (Dec. 2 versus Nashville).

Minnesota has earned at least one point in seven straight games at Xcel Energy Center (6-0-1), its longest such streak since going 6-0-4 to end the 2008-09 season. The Wild is 18-6-2 at home this season and 24-6-6 in its last 36 games at Xcel Energy Center dating back to Feb. 19, 2009.

The Wild went 2-for-6 on the power play, its second two-PPG game since Dec. 5.

Minnesota earned its second-biggest win ever versus Detroit. Minnesota beat the Red Wings 4-0 on March 23, 2003.
