Twelve Wild About Reading cheers were chosen by committee as finalists and were available on Wild.com for public voting from January 18th through January 29th, 2010.
- The two classrooms with the highest number of votes were: Redwood Valley Middle School (Redwood Falls) and Parkview/Centerpoint Elementary (White Bear Lake). These classrooms have won the HAT TRICK Prize: An opportunity to watch a Wild practice and have a Wild player read to their group at Xcel Energy Center (winning group must provide own transportation) OR A pack of school supplies valued at $500.
- Τhe 10 finalists in the contest were, Cambridge Primary School (Cambridge), Liberty Ridge Elementary (Woodbury), Edgerton Elementary (Maplewood), Eveleth-Gilbert Franklin (Eveleth), Community Christian School (Willmar), Hutchinson Middle School (Hutchinson), Princeton South Elementary (Princeton), and three classrooms from St. Michael Elementary (St. Michael) and have all won the GOAL LINE Prize: A Wild player’s “better half” or a Wild staff member will travel to your school and read to the winning classroom.
