Canadian Hockey Leagues
D Tyler Cuma - Ottawa (OHL): First round pick (23rd overall) in 2008 Draft picked up two goals and an assist in three games last week. He now has 21 points (4-17=21) and a +7 rating in 50 games. Ottawa has clinched a playoff spot and ranks second in the Eastern Conference standings.
LW Kris Foucault - Calgary (WHL): The fourth round pick (103rd overall) in 2009 Draft had a big week, notching three goals and two assists in four games, including a hat trick on Saturday. He was a +3 on the week. Calgary has clinched a playoff spot and is currently the top team in the Eastern Conference. Foucault now has 20 goals and 19 assists in 65 games.
D Marco Scandella - Val-D'Or (QMJHL): Second round selection (55th overall) in 2008 continues to serve a suspension from February 9 for 15 games for a hit to the head. At the time of his suspension, Scandella led his team with a +11 rating, and ranked second among team defensemen in points (9-22=31) in 31 games.
College/USHL
C Anthony Hamburg - Omaha (USHL): Seventh round pick (193rd overall) in 2009 Draft, and Colgate University recruit owns 20 points on five goals and 15 assists in 47 games. Omaha has clinched a playoff spot.
LW Erik Haula - Omaha (USHL): The University of Minnesota recruit and seventh round pick (182nd overall) in 2009 NHL Draft picked up an assist in two games over the weekend. He ranks fourth in the USHL in scoring with 64 points on 24 goals and 40 assists. He ranks third with a +32 rating. Omaha has clinched a playoff spot.
D Sean Lorenz - Notre Dame (CCHA): Fourth round pick (115th overall) has two goals and an assist in 34 games this season.
D Kyle Medvec - Vermont (HE): Fourth round pick in 2006 (102nd overall) leads all Vermont defensemen in scoring with five goals and 10 assists in 34 games.
Goaltenders
Matt Hackett - Plymouth (OHL): The third round draft pick (77th overall) went 2-1 last week including a 31-save shutout on Saturday. He ranks second in the OHL with a .925 save percentage, third with 33 wins and fifth with a 2.63 goals against average. Plymouth has clinched a playoff spot.
Darcy Kuemper - Red Deer (WHL): The sixth round pick (161st overall) now owns a 28-20-0-4 record. He ranks eighth in the WHL with a 2.64 goals against average, and seventh with 28 wins. Red Deer has clinched a playoff spot.
