Canadian Hockey Leagues
D Tyler Cuma - Ottawa (OHL): First round pick (23rd overall) in 2008 Draft helped Ottawa win the first two games of its best-of-seven first round series against Niagara. Cuma finished the regular season with five goals and 17 assists in 52 games, and a +9 rating.
LW Kris Foucault - Calgary (WHL): The fourth round pick (103rd overall) in 2009 Draft scored one goal as Calgary lost its first two opening round playoff games against Moose Jaw. Foucault finished the regular season with 22 goals and 21 assists for 43 points in 68 games. Calgary won the last nine games of the season to clinch the best regular season record in the WHL.
D Marco Scandella - Val-D'Or (QMJHL): Second round selection (55th overall) in 2008 returned from a 15-game suspension to record a goal and three assists and a +3 rating in Val-D'Or's first two playoff games. Val-D'Or split the first two games with Rouyn-Noranda. Scandella finished the regular season with nine goals and 22 assists in 31 games.
C Anthony Hamburg - Omaha (USHL): Seventh round pick (193rd overall) in 2009 Draft, and Colgate University recruit owns 21 points on five goals and 16 assists in 51 games. Omaha finished the season as the West Division champions.
LW Erik Haula - Omaha (USHL): The University of Minnesota recruit and seventh round pick (182nd overall) in 2009 NHL Draft scored one goal and an assist in two games over the weekend. He finished the season ranked fifth in the USHL in scoring with 67 points on 26 goals and 41 assists. Omaha finished the season as the West Division champions.
D Sean Lorenz - Notre Dame (CCHA): Fourth round pick (115th overall) finished his season with two goals and an assist in 34 games.
D Kyle Medvec - Vermont (HE): Fourth round pick in 2006 (102nd overall) will be at Xcel Energy Center on Friday as Vermont faces Wisconsin in the first round of the NCAA tournament. Medvec leads all Vermont defensemen in scoring with five goals and 10 assists in 38 games.
Matt Hackett - Plymouth (OHL): The third round draft pick (77th overall) last summer stopped 52 of 56 shots in two appearances as Plymouth split the first two games of its opening round series against Sault Ste. Marie. Hackett finished the season with a 33-18-1-2 record, a 2.62 goals against average and a .925 save percentage. He signed an entry level contract with the Wild last week.
Darcy Kuemper - Red Deer (WHL): The sixth round pick (161st overall) was the losing goaltender in both Red Deer games against Saskatoon last week. Kuemper finished the regular season with a 28-23-0-4 record, a 2.73 goals against average and a .908 save percentage.
