Numbers Game: Martin Havlat
The Minnesota Wild and General Manager Chuck Fletcher will be playing the numbers game this summer. Whether it be signing, trading, drafting, inviting or cutting, Fletcher has to put together a roster of salaries that fits under the NHL's salary cap. The players that make up that roster will be asked to put up big numbers in order for the club to have a successful season in Year X.

The 2010-2011 version of the Wild is starting to round into form after the NHL Draft and free agency. With some changes made, let's take a look at some of the numbers by players that will play major roles in Year X. Today, we look at the Wild's third leading scorer from last season: Martin Havlat.

Other Numbers: Brent Burns; Antti Miettinen; Greg Zanon; Niklas Backstrom; Guillaume Latendresse; Cal Clutterbuck; Andrew Brunette; Mikko Koivu; Marek Zidlicky

12. . . Havlat's total of multi-point games, ranking second on the club.

40. . . Number of points racked up by Havlat in the next 44 games after missing four games with a hamstring injury in November.

6. . . Marty had three point streaks that lasted six games or more last season.

15. . . Havlat put up 15 points (8-7=15) of the final 16 games played against Northwest Division opponents.

2, 3, 4. . . Martin's second, third and fourth helpers of the season came on three straight goals scored by Minnesota in the third period of a 4-3 overtime win in the home opener against Anaheim. He picked up the primary assist on all three goals.

73. . . Total games played by Havlat in 2009-10, matching the second highest total of his nine-year career.
