Fantasy Spotlight: MIN vs. LA

Fantasy Pick: Mikko Koivu

Like many of his teammates, Wild captain Mikko Koivu battled illness over the past week. After morning skate Monday, Koivu seemed to be back to his usual self and that should suggest he'll be back to his typical play on the ice tonight against Los Angeles.

Koivu and the rest of the Wild couldn't find their form in Vancouver Friday, but if anyone is going to go all-out for the home crowd tonight, it's Minnesota's captain. If his usual relentless work ethic isn't enough to make you think he'll be at the top of his game tonight, it seems Koivu does quite well playing against Los Angeles.

Koivu has 16 points (2-14=16) in 16 games against the Kings all-time. Plus, he has tallied an assist in three straight games and recorded a point in six of the Wild's seven games this season (2-6=8).
