Fantasy Pick: Matt Cullen
Tonight, Matt Cullen is set to skate in his 900th NHL game. Lucky for us, he will reach the milestone against the Philadelphia Flyers, a team that he's had great success against throughout his career.
Cullen has tallied 25 points (11-14=25) in 39 games against Philadelphia. If his play against the Flyers wasn't reason enough for Cullen to be in the limelight tonight, he's also been one of the best scoring threats on the Wild all season.
Cullen ranks third on the Wild with 15 points (4-11=15) in 19 games this season. He leads the Wild's power play, ranked second in the NHL (26.3%), with 12 points (3-9=12), to rank third among all NHL players in power play scoring.
Cullen comes into tonight's game against the Flyers having scored a shorthanded goal Saturday against the Rangers, the first shorthanded goal by a Wild player this season.
Cullen becomes the ninth Minnesotan to reach the 900-games milestone. Among all Minnesota born NHL players, he ranks 10th in goals (173), ninth in assists (303), eighth in points (476) and is tied for thid in shorthanded markers (11).
