RW Marty Havlat tallied two goals and an assist, D Marek Zidlicky notched a goal and two helpers and G Jose Theodore made 32 saves in his first home start, as the Minnesota Wild defeated the Nashville Predators 5-2 in front of 17,814 at Xcel Energy Center. LW Andrew Brunette and D Nick Schultz added a goal apiece for Minnesota, which plays at Colorado on Saturday. The Wild improved to 7-2-1 all-time in its annual Day-After-Thanksgiving matinee, including three straight wins.

RW Martin Havlat recorded two goals and an assist, giving him 11 points (4-7=11) in his last seven games, with at least one point in six games. Havlat has 14 points (5-9=14) in his last 11 games. He has 34 points (13-21=34) in his career against the Predators – his most against any team. Havlat registered his 30th career multiple-goal game and leads the Wild this season with 20 points (5-15=20).

D Marek Zidlicky scored his third goal this season – second at even strength. Forty of Zidlicky’s 56 NHL goals have come on the power play. Zidlicky added two assists for his second three-point game this season and 18th of his career.

G Jose Theodore made his first start at Xcel Energy Center as a member of the Wild and made 32 saves. Theodore is 12-0-1 in his last 13 “home” decisions, counting time with Washington.

D Nick Schultz scored his second goal. Schultz scored once last season, and two in each of the four seasons before that.

LW Patrick O’Sullivan registered an assist and has two points (1-1=2) in two games since being acquired on waivers. He had one goal in 10 games with Carolina.

RW Cal Clutterbuck, who leads the Wild with seven goals, recorded his first assist this season.

Minnesota scored five even strength goals in a game for the first time since a 6-1 win over Toronto on Jan. 27, 2009.

The Wild is 5-2-0 in its last seven home games against Nashville and has scored five or more goals on four occasions.

The Wild is 6-2-2 after losing its previous game in either regulation or an extra session.

Minnesota had scored just 13 goals in eight home games since a 6-2 win over Vancouver on Oct. 19, not scoring more than two goals in any of those games.

The Wild went 0-for-2 on the power play and is 0-for-13 on the man advantage in the last five games. Minnesota also hasn’t scored a PPG in the last five home games for the first time since March 2-March 15, 2008.

Minnesota has 11 wins (11-8-1) when getting outshot this season. No other NHL team has more than eight.
