Fantasy Pick: Mikko Koivu
If you're searching for a Wild player who is incredibly focused and determined to help his team get a win, you can never go wrong by looking to Mikko Koivu. Perhaps the most intense player in the locker room, he is deadly serious about getting his team a victory, which is what the Wild need tonight against the Vancouver Canucks.
Beyond his desire to win tonight's game against the Northwest Division rival, Kaptain Koivu is a great pick for your fantasy team because he's put up some great numbers against the Canucks over the years and is riding a hot streak of late.
Mikko has tallied eight points (2-6=8) in his past seven games, including a two-game point streak. Of course, who can forget his unbelievable setup for the Wild's goal Friday. While being a stellar defensive presence against the Canucks' offensive weapons, Koivu owns 23 points (9-14=23) in 31 games against Vancouver.
Koivu is tied for the team lead with 38 points (11-27=38), while leading the Wild with a +5 rating in 44 games this season.
