HOUSTON AEROS (26-19-1-3, T-2nd in West Division) – The Aeros went 2-1-0-0 this past week, beating Texas 3-1 on Friday and Lake Erie 2-1 on Saturday before falling to Toronto 4-2 on Sunday. RW Jon DiSalvatore led the way with four points (2-2=4) and C Patrick O’Sullivan dished out three assists. G Matt Hackett stopped 52 of 56 shots, posting a 1-1-0-0 record, while G Anton Khudobin recorded a win and 25 saves in his lone appearance. Overall, LW Robbie Earl owns 31 points (14-17=31) to lead the Aeros. Khudobin owns a team-best 13 wins while Hackett leads with a 2.47 GAA. Each net minder owns a .913 SV%. This week Houston plays at Syracuse on Wednesday and hosts Abbotsford on Friday. A reminder that the Aeros will be taking on the Peoria Rivermen at Xcel Energy Center on Sunday, February 13. LW Brett Bulmer - Kelowna (WHL): Second round pick (39th overall) in 2010 Draft is in the midst of a seven-game point streak and posted seven points in four games last week. On Saturday, he notched two goals, including the game-winner and an assist. He ranks tied for second on the team with 17 goals and 42 points through 46 games.
D Josh Caron - Kamloops (WHL): The 2010 free agent signing has played eight games this season and is a +2. He missed 41 games with a broken collar bone.
LW Kris Foucault - Calgary (WHL): The fourth round pick (103rd overall) in the 2009 Draft posted two assists on Friday and now owns 31 points on 13 goals and 18 assists through 41 games.
D Colton Jobke - Kelowna (WHL): The 2010 free agent signing posted an assist and a +2 rating in three games last week. He now has a goal and seven assists and a +2 rating through 38 games.
D Bjorn Krupp - Belleville (OHL): The 2009 free agent signing has a goal and seven assists through 38 games this season.
RW Dylen McKinlay - Chilliwack (WHL): The seventh round pick (189th overall) in the 2010 NHL Draft notched an assist last week to bring his point total to 14 (4-10=14).
C Anthony Hamburg - Omaha (USHL): The seventh round pick (193rd overall) in the 2009 Draft has left Colgate University after playing seven games and notching three assists. He has joined Omaha of the USHL where he's played eight games and scored seven points (2-5=7).
LW Erik Haula - Minnesota (WCHA): The seventh round pick (182nd overall) in 2009 was off this past weekend with Minnesota on its bye week. He leads the Gophers with 13 assists and ranks fourth in points with 16. He is a +6 on the year.
D Sean Lorenz - Notre Dame (CCHA): Fourth round pick (115th overall) in 2008 added another assist to bring his point total to 10 (4-6=10) in 28 games. He leads all Notre Dame skaters with a +21 rating.
D Kyle Medvec - Vermont (HE): Fourth round pick (102nd overall) in 2006 has a goal and two assists through 20 games this season.
F Jason Zucker - Denver (WCHA): Second round selection (59th overall) in 2010 Draft registered a goal, an assist and a +2 rating in two games over the weekend against Alaska Anchorage. He ranks first in WCHA play and tied for fifth in the nation with 17 goals. He has 26 points in 24 games and is a +13. He's twice been named the WCHA Freshman of the Week.
F Mikael Granlund - HIFK Helsinki (Finland): The first round selection (ninth overall) in 2010 was held without a point in three games last week. He's posted three goals and 15 assists in 22 games this season. He missed 21 games with an injury.
RW Johan Larsson - Brynas (Sweden): The second round selection (56th overall) in the 2010 Draft has totaled a goal and three assists in 29 Elite level games and also has six goals and nine assists in 10 junior level games.
F Jere Sallinen - Blues Espoo (Finland): The sixth round selection (163rd overall) in the 2009 Draft has tallied four goals and six assists in 39 Finnish Elite League games.
Dennis Endras - Augsberger (Germany): The 2010 free agent signing is 15-17-3 to go along with a 3.41 goals against average and a .890 save percentage.
Johan Gustafsson - VIK (Sweden): The sixth round pick (159th overall) in the 2010 Draft posted two victories in two starts last week, lowering his goals against average to 2.35 and raising his save percentage to .913.
Darcy Kuemper - Red Deer (WHL): The sixth round pick (161st overall) in 2009 posted three more wins last week to run his winning streak to seven straight games. That included a 35-save shutout last week, which was his League-leading ninth of the season. He leads the WHL with 31 wins, a 1.84 goals against average and a .932 save percentage. He was named the CHL goaltender of the week last week for the third time last week.
