Fantasy Pick: Kyle Brodziak
When you play between MInnesota's leading scorer and one of the best playmakers in the entire NHL, you're bound to have some success. And while Kyle Brodziak has certainly benefitted from playing alongside Cal Clutterbuck and Martin Havlat this season, he's also part of the reason both are having such impressive years.
Brodziak often does the dirty work, battling for the puck along the boards or being the defensively-responsible forward and enabling Clutter to fire his wicked wrist shot or Marty to embarrass the other team's defensemen. But to leave it at that would be severely shortchanging the man whose Movember moustache is still going strong.
In fact, Brodziak leads the Wild with 11 points (2-8=11) during the team's current 9-4-0 stretch, and had a four-game point streak (1-3=4) going into the game Wednesday. He also plays an important role as one of Minnesota's responsible centermen, and he has done that, earning a +6 rating in that stretch of games.
Brodziak owns 24 points (11-13=24), playing in all 57 games on the season.
