G Anton Khudobin Minnesota makes its only move of the day right before the deadline, swapping prospects with the bruins. the wild gets penner, who had a career-high 35 points in the ahl last season, and lehtonen, who ranks second in scoring in the swedish elite league. Boston gets khudobin in the deal, who played four games with minnesota this season.
G Drew MacIntyre D Brett Festerling A minor-league trade sees goaltender macintyre head to the canadiens organization and festerling, who's played in 83 nhl games in his career, go to atlanta.
F Jason Arnott F David Steckel
2011 2nd round pick
Arnott said he was only willing to be shipped to a team that would be in the playoffs, not fighting for a spot, and he will certainly get another shot at the cup as he brings his veteran experience to the caps. The devils get 28-year-old steckel in return.

The canucks continue to try and bolster their lineup as they go into the playoffs as cup favorite. vancouver gets lapierre, who goes to his third team this season, and minor-leaguer sharp, for perrault and a 3rd round selection in st. paul.

The panthers continue to be major sellers at the deadline, trading higgins, who is currently on ir with a hand injury, to the canucks in exchange for minor leaguer oberg and a third round pick this summer.
F Fredrik Modin 2011 7th Round Pick calgary sets up for a run to the postseason by acquiring 36-year-old veteran modin for a 7th round pick.
F John Mitchell 2011 7th round pick the rangers have acquired a depth center by trading a 7th round pick for the 26-year-old mitchell.

 the kings and oilers make a trade that is the biggest move of the day, thus far. the kings load up for a playoff run with the talented penner, but it's at a hefty cost, giving up L.A.'s 2008 1st round pick teubert, a first round selection and a conditional second round pick in this summer's draft.
F Brad Winchester 2011 3rd round pick Anaheim grabs wisconsin native winchester, who has totaled 14 points in 57 games on the wing in st. louis this season. the ducks give a 3rd round pick this summer to the blues in return.
F Sergei Samsonov D Bryan Allen the hurricanes add yet another veteran from florida by adding allen to fill a spot on the blueline. the panthers get samsonov, who twice reached the 70-point mark, but hasn't reached more than 50 points in the nine season since.

Tonight's wild opponent, chicago, bolsters its depth on the blueline by acquiring campoli and a conditional 7th round pick for potulny and a conditional second round pick. Campoli has 14 points for ottawa this season, while potulny has spent most of the season in the minors.
D Shawn Belle D Kevin Montgomery A swap of minor-league defenseman includes belle, who played nine games with the wild in 2006-07.

The coyotes get 28-year-old klesla, who was columbus' first-ever entry draft pick, being selected immediately after marian gaborik. klesla has had injury troubles throughout his career but can be a big body in the lineup. in return, the blue jackets get speedy upshall and lepisto, a blueliner who can move the puck well.

2011 3rd Round Draft Pick
Florida remains active before the deadline by acquiring prospect hauswirth and a 3rd round pick this summer. washington adds to its blueline by picking up wideman, who has 33 points in 61 games this season.

Czech winger dvorak goes to the thrashers after totaling 21 points in 53 games with the panthers this season. The panthers get a talented young forward in bergfors and veteran rissmiller as florida continues to try and rebuild.

D Alexander Sulzer  2012 Conditional 7th draft pick nashville sends the 26-year-old defenseman to florida who has struggled with the preds and will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. Florida will give up a 7th round draft pick in 2012 if sulzer re-signs with the panthers.

The hurricanes make a move to help a stretch run by bringing back a familiar face in stillman, who played three seasons with carolina. in return, the panthers get minnesota native carter, who has been sidelined with a back injury recently, and a fifth round pick in this summer's draft.

Atlanta's recent struggles saw the team send d brent sopel, who won a stanley cup with chicago last season, and minor-league forward nigel dawes to montreal. the 34-year-old sopel with be a veteran addition on the blueline as the canadiens try to march towards the playoffs. Montreal sends maxwell, a 22-year-old also playing in the minors, and a 4th round pick this june to the thrashers in return.
F Alexei Kovalev 2011 Conditional 7th Round Pick pittsburgh continues to try and boost its offense  after injuries have hampered the lineup. the penguins get the 38-year-old winger in hopes that the veteran can help the team's run to the playoffs, giving up only a conditional draft pick in this summer's draft. the 7th round pick becomes a 6th round pick if the pens end up winning a playoff series and kovalev plays in at least half of the games.

G Curtis McElhinney Anaheim and tampa bay swap goalies who have struggled at times this season. mcelhinney lost his last four starts after assuming the starter role for the ducks when jonas hiller was placed on injured reserve. ellis moves from his role as a backup goalie for the lightning.

after suffering a bevy of injuries to its star players, pittsburgh acquired some offensive talent by trading minnesota native goligoski to the stars. dallas gets the strong defensive presence of goligoski, who led all penguins with a +20 rating, while pittsburgh gets neal, who was the third-leading goal scorer on the stars, and minnesota native niskanen, who struggled this season in dallas.

In a late-night deal that is perhaps one of the most surprising of the pre-deadline trades, st. louis shipped 2006 no. 1 overall draft pick johnson to colorado along with  27-year old mcclement and a conditional 1st round pick. st. louis gets the offensively talented stewart and shattenkirk, who ranks second in scoring among nhl rookie defensemen, along with a 2nd round pick in the deal.

tampa bay prepped for a playoff run by adding brewer, who dropped his no-trade clause to join the lightning. the blues receive prospect beukeboom and a third round pick in this year's draft. 
D Ian White  2012 2nd round pick
san jose gets back its depth on the blue line by adding white for a 2nd round pick in next summer's draft. it is the third time white has been traded in just over a year.
D Derek Joslin  Future Considerations Carolina increases its depth on the blueline by adding 23-year-old joslin from san jose in exchange for future considerations.

2012 Conditional 2nd Round Pick
After much talk about him being available on the trade market, kaberle is finally moved out of toronto., he heads to the bruins in one of the biggest moves leading up to the trade deadline. the maple leafs receive colborne, a 1st round pick this summer and a conditional 2nd round pick next summer. the conditional pick is reportedly based on whether kaberle re-signs with boston when he becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer.

boston bolsters its lineup for the postseason with the offensively-talented peverly and ahl defenseman valabik. Stuart leaves boston for the first time in his career, becoming a veteran among a young blueline in atlanta, with a solid young player in wheeler
G Craig Anderson G Brian Elliott The senators and avalanche swap goalies who've struggled this year in hopes that a fresh start will be best for both netminders. Anderson is an unrestricted free agent come summer, while elliott will be  a restricted free agent.

F Jarkko Ruutu  2011 6th round pick
gritty forward ruutu is the latest senator to get shipped out of ottawa, as anaheim looks to improve its two-way game. Anaheim gives up a 6th round pick and adds another physical player to the lineup as the ducks make a run for the playoffs.
D Paul Mara 2012 5th round pick
mara returns to montreal, where he played last season before signing with the ducks before training camp. the blueliner had been a healthy scratch for anaheim often recently, so the ducks take the offer to swap him for a 5th round pick in next summer's draft.




FEBRUARY 15TH

F Chris Kelly  2011 2nd round pick
ottawa continued to move some of their veteran players by sending the 30-year-old kelly to boston after he had spent his entire six-year career as a senator.  Boston gives up a 2nd round pick for the draft in St. paul this summer in return.
F Aaron Voros 2011 conditional 7th round pick
Former wild player voros changes AHL teams as a result of the trade, while anaheim will get a 2011 conditional 7th round draft pick in the move if voros re-signs with toronto.
