RW Drew Stafford scored a goal 46 seconds into overtime and D Jhonas Enroth made 24 saves, leading the Buffalo Sabres past the Minnesota Wild 3-2 in front of a sellout crowd of 18,091 at Xcel Energy Center. D Marek Zidlicky scored a power play goal in his 500th NHL game, C Warren Peters also scored and G Jose Theodore made 30 saves for Minnesota, which rallied from a two-goal deficit to earn an all-important point in the Western Conference playoff race. The Wild plays host to Colorado on Tuesday.

D Marek Zidlicky scored a goal in his 500th NHL game. Zidlicky has now posted 282 points (58-224=282) in 500 games over seven NHL seasons. Zidlicky scored a PPG – 42 of his 58 career goals have come with the man advantage. He ranks 10th amongst NHL defensemen in PPG since his first NHL season, 2003-04.

C Warren Peters scored his third career goal in his 34th game – seventh this season. Peters’ last goal came with Dallas, against New Jersey on Nov. 21, 2009.

RW Brad Staubitz recorded his fourth assist, a new career-high.

LW Pierre-Marc Bouchard had an assist and has tallied nine points (3-6=9) in the past nine games.

Jose Theodore made 30 saves. Theodore is 2-0-1 with a no decision in his last four appearances, with a 1.87 GAA and a .951 SV%. Theodore made his first home start since Jan. 9, and he had played 10 of his prior 11 games on the road. Theodore is 2-3-1 at home this season, and 10-5-2 on the road.

Minnesota is 5-2 in overtime, while Buffalo is 7-7.

The Wild is 0-4-1 all-time versus Buffalo when it scores two or fewer goals.

Minnesota is 6-2-2 in its last 10 home games.
