Fantasy Spotlight: John Madden
In 12 NHL seasons, John Madden has never missed the playoffs. He might be the oldest player in the Wild locker room, but the 37-year-old has been playing with the energy of a rookie to try and ensure he's playing in another postseason.
Madden's great game has been noteworthy the past three Wild contests, including his performance in the Wild's game against Columbus Saturday. The centerman was once again great defensively and notched two assists in a game for the first time since March 7, 2010.
Madden now has 24 points (12-12=24) on the season, his most since notching 43 points (20-23=43) with New Jersey in 2007-08. He is tied for the team lead with four game-winning goals this season and the Wild are 9-2-1 when he scores this year.
