Post Game Notes vs. Montreal - Mar. 20
D P.K. Subban notched his first career hat trick and added an assist, C Ryan White netted his first NHL goal and added two assists, and LW Benoit Pouliot supplied three helpers, as the Montreal Canadiens defeated the Minnesota Wild 8-1 in front of an overflow sellout crowd of 18,595 at Xcel Energy Center. C Mikko Koivu scored a penalty shot goal and G Jose Theodore made 14 saves for Minnesota, which plays host to Edmonton on Tuesday.

C Mikko Koivu scored the Wild’s first penalty shot goal since Feb. 17, 2007, when Pierre-Marc Bouchard scored in Nashville against Tomas Vokoun. Koivu’s tally marked the Wild’s first home penalty shot goal since Brian Rolston against Vancouver’s Roberto Luongo on Nov. 2, 2006. Wild skaters are 13-for-23 all-time on penalty shots.

D Nate Prosser, a native of Elk River, Minn., made his season debut and played 15:04 with an even rating. Prosser skated in three games with the Wild last season.

D P.K. Subban became the first defenseman with a hat trick against the Wild, and the third blueliner with four points, joining Niclas Havelid and Ed Jovanovski. Dustin Byfuglien also had four, but was playing forward with Chicago at the time.

G Jose Theodore made 14 saves on 19 shots and fell to 2-2-1 in his career against Montreal – his former team, with a 4.81 GAA and a .858 SV%.

The Wild lost by more than six goals for the first time in team history. The eight goals allowed matched a team record, and happened for the first time since Dec. 26, 2007, at Dallas. The Wild also allowed eight goals in a home game for the first time ever.
