Post-Game Notes vs. Pittsburgh - Oct. 18
G Brent Johnson made 24 saves and former Wild LW Pascal Dupuis scored a shorthanded goal in the third period, as the Pittsburgh Penguins defeated Minnesota, 4-2, at Xcel Energy Center. RW Cal Clutterbuck scored a shorthanded goal, LW Guillaume Latendresse also scored and G Niklas Backstrom made 21 saves for Minnesota, which plays at Edmonton on Thursday.

LW Guillaume Latendresse scored his first goal of the season. He leads the Wild with five points (1-4=5), including a single point in five games. Latendresse’s tally marked his first since Oct. 21, 2010, at Edmonton – 362 days ago. He was limited to 11 games last year due to injury.

RW Cal Clutterbuck scored his second goal in as many games – his third career shorthanded goal.

C Mikko Koivu had a shorthanded assist, his 13th career shorthanded point (8-5=13). He trails only Wes Walz (14-7=21) for most shorthanded points in Wild history.

D Greg Zanon skated in his 399th NHL game.

The Wild fell to 9-3-1 all-time against Pittsburgh, having outscored the Penguins 39-20 in the prior 12 meetings. Minnesota is 3-2-1 versus Pittsburgh at Xcel Energy Center.

Niklas Backstrom made 21 saves to fall to 3-1-0 all-time against the Penguins. Pittsburgh had been the only NHL team (besides Minnesota) to have tallied no standings points against Backstrom.

LW Pascal Dupuis scored a shorthanded goal for Pittsburgh. Dupuis, who played four-plus seasons with Minnesota, has scored 28 goals at Xcel Energy Center, tied with Clutterbuck for 11th-most all-time at Xcel Energy Center.

Minnesota went 0-for-5 on the power play. The Penguins have now killed off all 20 shorthanded chances on the road this season. Minnesota is 0-for-10 overall in the last three games with the man advantage.
