Post-Game Notes vs. St. Louis - Nov. 5
G Josh Harding continued his stellar play making 30 saves, while LW Guillaume Latendresse and RW Dany Heatley scored in the second period, as the Minnesota Wild won a fourth straight game, 2-1 over the St. Louis Blues at Xcel Energy Center. The Wild, winners of four straight for the first time since Jan. 2-Jan. 8, 2011, begins a five-game road trip Tuesday in Calgary.
G Josh Harding made 30 saves to tie his career high with a fourth straight win. In his four-game winning streak, Harding sports a 0.75 GAA and a .977 SV%. Harding has won four in a row for the first time since Dec. 14-Dec, 20, 2007. Harding is 4-0-1 on the season, with a 1.18 GAA and a .965 SV%. He is 14-5-2 all-time at home as a starter, with a 2.15 GAA and a .929 SV%. Since Jan. 3, 2009, Harding is 7-0-2 at home with a 1.84 GAA and a .944 SV%. He hasn’t lost a home regulation start since Oct. 30, 2008, versus Montreal.
RW Dany Heatley scored his fourth goal of the season, moving into a tie for the team lead with eight points (4-4=8). Three of Heatley’s four goals have been the Wild’s first goal.
LW Guillaume Latendresse scored his third goal of 2011-12, unassisted, with 1:18 left in the second period for a 2-0 lead. Latendresse has seven points (3-4=7) – one off the team lead. Latendresse has 22 games in 43 home games since being acquired. He has nine goals in 35 road games in that time period.
C Mikko Koivu posted an assist, giving him eight points as well. Five different Wild players have exactly eight points.
D Nate Prosser posted his first assist since his NHL debut, April 5 at Edmonton. It came after a monster blocked shot to start a 2-on-1 rush that resulted in Heatley’s goal.
The Minnesota penalty kill has gone a perfect 14-for-14 in the last four games, including 2-for-2 tonight.
Minnesota was tied after one period for just the second time this season.
The Wild has scored the first goal in each of its last 10 home games vs. St. Louis (going 7-3-0).
Minnesota is 3-1-0 this season when playing an opponent on its second of back-to-back games.
