Wild Prospects Report - Nov. 9

HOUSTON AEROS (8-2-3, 19 pts, T-1st in West Division) –  Houston went 2-1-0 last week, winning 5-3 at Lake Erie (11/3) and 4-2 at Hamilton (11/4) before falling 6-2 vs. Toronto (11/6). Jon DiSalvatore (3-2=5) and Jeff Taffe (1-4=5) led the Aeros in points last week with five each, while Warren Peters (3-1=4) contributed four. DiSalvatore extended his point streak to nine games. Matt Hackett made 25 saves vs. Lake Erie and 26 vs. Toronto. He ranks tied for third in the AHL in wins with six in nine games. Dennis Endras stopped 33 shots vs. Toronto and ranks 14th in the league with a .925 SV%. The Aeros play just two games in the next week, vs. Abbotsford on Thursday (11/10) and vs. Charlotte on Sunday (11/13).

Canadian Hockey Leagues
   

LW Brett Bulmer - Kelowna (WHL): Bulmer was reassigned to Kelowna by the Wild on November 7 and promptly posted four points (2-2=4) in his first game back. Through two games, he has four points and is a +1.

D Josh Caron - Kamloops (WHL): The 2010 free agent signing has picked up five assists through 16 games and leads his team with 59 penalty minutes. He is a +9 on the season. 

C Tyler Graovac - Ottawa (OHL): The seventh round pick (191st overall) in the 2011 Draft has been chosen to represent Team OHL against Russia in the 2011 SUBWAY Super Series beginning November 10. In 12 games this season, he's put up 11 points (4-7=11) in 12 games, and is a +4.

D Colton Jobke - Regina (WHL): The 2010 free agent signing notched a goal and assist last week and has now put up eight points on four goals and four assists in 18 games.

C Zack Phillips - Saint John (QMJHL): The first  round pick (28th overall) in the 2011 NHL Draft leads the Sea Dogs and ranks sixth in the League in scoring with 31 points (12-19=31) in just 17 games. He is currently riding a 10-game point streak in which he's racked up eight goals and 13 assists.
   
College/USHL

C Charlie Coyle - Boston University (Hockey East): San Jose's first round pick in 2010 (28th overall) leads the Terriers with eight assists through seven games. He's also added a goal and is a +9 on the season.

C Anthony Hamburg - Omaha (USHL):
The seventh round pick (193rd overall) in the 2009 Draft has notched a goal and two assists through nine games.

LW Erik Haula - Minnesota (WCHA): The seventh round pick (182nd overall) in 2009 went scoreless over the weekend, yet continues to lead the nation in scoring with seven goals and 10 assists through 10 games. He is a +10 thus far this season.

D Sean Lorenz - Notre Dame (CCHA): Fourth round pick (115th overall) in 2008 has put up two goals, including a game-winner, as well as two assists through eight games. He's a +4 on the season.

LW Mario Lucia - Penticton (BCHL): Second round pick (60th overall) in 2011 Draft has been chosen to represent the United States Junior Select Team that is currently competing in the World Junior A Challenge. In15  games this season, he's averaged two points per game with 10 goals and 20 assists. He ranks third in the league in scoring and is second in assists.

D Nick Seeler - Muskegon (USHL): Fifth round pick (131st overall) in 2011 has a goal and two assists through 10 games this season.

F Jason Zucker - Denver (WCHA): Second round pick (59th overall) in 2010 Draft was held scoreless over the weekend, but remains tied for the team lead in scoring with 10 points (4-6=10) through eight games. He is a +2 on the year.

International

D
Jonas Brodin - Farjestads BK Karlstad (Sweden): The first round selection (10th overall) in the 2011 Draft has posted three assists through 20 games and leads his team with a +5 rating.

F Mikael Granlund - HIFK Helsinki (Finland):
The first round selection (ninth overall) in 2010  leads his team in assists (15) and total points (21). He also ranks second in hte leage in points and tied for first in assists.

D Bjorn Krupp - Cologne (Germany): The 2009 free agent signing has notched three assists through 16 games.

RW Johan Larsson - Brynas (Sweden): The second round selection (56th overall) in the 2010 Draft has put up five goals and 12 assists for 17 points in 20 games. He ranks second on the team in scoring and tied for first in assists.

Goaltenders

Johan Gustafsson - Lulea HF (Sweden): The sixth round pick (159th overall) in the 2010 Draft is tied for the League lead with four shutouts and ranks third in the SEL with a 1.85 goals against average. His .926 save percentage ranks sixth.

Darcy Kuemper - Ontario (ECHL): Has played three games for the Reign and stopped 73 of 78 shots while going 3-0-0. His goals against average stands at 1.62 with a .936 save percentage.

Stephen Michalek - Harvard (ECAC): The sixth round pick (161st overall) in 2011 played his first game of the season last weekend, stopping 34 shots in a 4-3 loss to Princeton.
