Wild Post-Game Notes vs. Calgary - Nov. 27
D Mark Giordano, D T.J. Brodie and RW Lee Stempniak each scored in a three-goal first period as the Calgary Flames defeated the Minnesota Wild 5-2 at Xcel Energy Center. RW Cal Clutterbuck and RW Nick Johnson each scored for the Wild, which honored Derek Boogaard and his family prior to the game. The Wild wraps up a six-game homestand Monday at 6:30 p.m. against Tampa Bay on VERSUS.
 
RW Cal Clutterbuck scored his sixth goal of the season – his fourth in the last eight games.
 
RW Nick Johnson tallied his third goal of the season – first in five games since Nov. 15 at Columbus. This marked the first of Johnson’s three goals to come at home.
 
C Mikko Koivu posted an assist giving him a five-game point streak (2-5=7), the longest point streak by a Wild player this season. Koivu leads the Wild with 17 points (3-14=17) this season.
 
RW Jarome Iginla scored his 32nd goal in 63 career games against the Wild, the most of any player versus Minnesota.
 
Minnesota is 13-1-0 when allowing two goals or less, and 0-6-3 when yielding three or more. The Wild allowed more than three goals in a home game for just the third time this season, but the second time in two games.
 
The Wild dropped to 13-5-2 against the Western Conference.
 
Minnesota has lost back-to-back home games in regulation for just the second time this season (Oct. 18-27).
 
G Niklas Backstrom entered the game 5-0-1 with a 0.88 GAA and a .975 SV% in his last seven starts against the Flames, but yielded three goals on eight shots in less than eight minutes. He failed to finish a home game for the first time since Jan. 9, 2010. G Josh Harding made 25 saves in relief, allowing two goals.
 
The Wild yielded three first-period goals for the first time this season.
